What we do
The journey of healing and recovery from domestic violence is life-long.
Our Aftercare Program supports families who have completed the program in the challenges they face as they create a new home for themselves and their children. Our counseling, case management, crisis intervention and advocacy services empower domestic violence survivors and their children to learn about the resources in their new community and advocates on their behalf so they can live in safety.and stay out of future abusive relationships.
All former residents are encouraged to attend our monthly support groups offered in English and Spanish. Aftercare provides tools from practical life skills to intensive counseling and support in a group setting. We also open our Donation Rooms to the women so they can obtain what they need for their families – food, clothing, school supplies, books, computers, and other necessities of daily life that families may be struggling to obtain for themselves. Day-sitting services are offered for children to mothers while attending Aftercare sessions.
